Side Effects of HCG Injections

This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Before receiving Human Chorionic Gonadotropin the doctor needs to be informed of allergies to any drugs, or difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, dizziness, severe headaches, or hives. Apart from these, users may also experience blood clots, pain, warmth, redness, numbness, or tingling in the arms or legs, confusion, extreme dizziness, severe headache, thyroid or adrenal gland disorders.

  • a thyroid or adrenal gland disorder
  • an ovarian cyst
  • premature puberty
  • cancer or a tumor of the breast, ovary, uterus, prostate, hypothalamus, or pituitary gland
  • undiagnosed uterine bleeding
  • heart disease
  • kidney disease
  • epilepsy
  • migraines
  • asthma.
  • Less serious side effects may include:
    • headache
    • feeling restless or irritable
    • mild swelling or weight gain
    • depression
    • breast tenderness or swelling
    • pain, swelling, or irritation where the injection is given.

Both male and female patients who have the following medical conditions must not start a treatment with HCG : – Hypersensitivity to this medicine or to any of its main ingredients. – Known or possible androgen-dependent tumors for example male breast carcinoma or prostatic carcinoma.

Using hCG for too long a period of time, or in doses that are excessive, can block the natural production of luteinizing hormone (LH) or desensitize the testicles to the effects of LH.

The side effects from HCG use also include gynecomastia, water retention, and an increase in sex drive, mood alterations, headaches, and high blood pressure. The main side effects are fluid retention and swelling, joint pains and carpal tunnel syndrome. HCG Pregnyl raises androgen levels in males by up to 400% but HCG Pregnyl also raises estrogen levels dramatically as well. This is why it can cause a real case of gynecomastia if dosages of Pregnyl HCG get too elevated for that person. Another side effect seen from HCG use is morning sickness, nausea and vomiting. Please research the androgen dependent tumor connection.

Drinking more water before meals, especially while on the HCG Diet, can help promote weight loss. Scientists recently reported results of a  new clinical trial confirming that just two 8-ounce glasses of water,  taken before meals, enables people to shed pounds even more easily.


We are presenting results of the first randomized controlled intervention trial demonstrating that increased water consumption is helpful in a weight  loss strategy. We found in earlier studies that middle aged and older people who drank two cups of water right before eating a meal ate between 75 and 90 fewer calories during that meal. In this recent study, we found that over the course of 12 weeks, dieters who drank water before meals, three times per day, lost about 5 pounds more than dieters who did not increase their water intake.

Previous studies hinted that drinking water before meals reduces intake of calories. Lacking until now, however, has been the "gold-standard"

HCG Do's AND Don'ts


• Keep food supplements to a bare minimum. They do have calories! • Do not skip meals. • Exercise isn’t necessary for the diet to work but going for a daily 30 minute brisk walk in the morning will add to your success losing weight. • If it’s not on the diet, don’t eat, drink or chew it. Sugarless gum turns into sugar when it hits your saliva!
• Mild hunger will vary from time to time from person to person and will usually last only a few days initially. Most will have no problem at all. • Do a round of spray or drops as often as you need (up to 8 per day) to keep your appetite under control. • If you find yourself getting hungry at the same time each day, eat one of your fruits about 30 minutes before the time you find yourself getting hungry each day.
• Do your HCG spray in the morning ½ to one gallon of water, and then eat 6 apples throughout the day. No other food.


HCG Do's and Don'ts


• You should be on the program a minimum of 21 days in order to reset the hypothalamus and no longer than 42 days. If you have more weight to lose after being on the program 42 days, take 6 weeks off from the diet eating a normal amount of calories except for refined sugars and starches. After 6 weeks, you can restart the HCG diet program going either 3 or 6 weeks.
• When you finish the HCG, stay on the diet another 2 days as you will still have HCG in your system working for you. • After those last 2 days, you can go back to eating a normal amount of calories with the exception of eating refined sugars and starches for 6 more weeks. A • Take a mercury thermometer and shake it down before you go to bed. When you wake up and before you get out of bed, put the thermometer under one of your armpits for 10 minutes before reading it. Your normal temperature should be between 98.2 and 98.8.
